Volunteer opportunties provide a great way for newcomers to the
profession to learn more about the world and workings of non-profit organizations. For seasoned professionals, it can help

64th Annual Festival of Houses & Gardens More than 650 volunteers from across the Lowcountry come together each year
to support Historic Charleston Foundation's annual Spring Festival of Houses & Gardens. Volunteer positions include serving as interpretive docents, street marshals and ticket office workers. It's a great way
to meet great people! Benefits include passes to HCF museum houses, free admission to most of the Lowcountry's historic sites
during the training period, invitations to lectures and social events throughout the year, and free house & garden tour

Middleton Place Explore your interest in American
and African-American history, agriculture, horticulture, landscape architecture and plantation life by becoming a volunteer
at Middleton Place. More than 300 volunteers assist in almost every facet of our organization. Volunteers receive a complimentary
Middleton Place membership, the opportunity to participate in organized social and educational functions, as well as many
other benefits. The next Guide Orientation will be Sept. 13 & 14 from 8 a.m. - noon or Sept. 18 from a a.m. - 2 p.m. Contact

Sidewalk Chalk A local Charleston non-profit, Sidewalk Chalk offers free creative arts and writing-based workshops to students
in Charleston's Title 1 elementary schools. They are currently in seven schools and visit each one once a week. They
are constantly looking for volunteers who are seeking an opportunity to spend classroom time with children for about two hours
