National Philanthropy Day

National Philanthropy Day is the keynote event during Philanthropy Week in the Lowcountry. During this week, non-profit organizations across the Carolina Lowcountry pause to honor those community members who give so generously of their time, money and effort to improve the quality of life for their neighbors. Philanthropy Week in the Lowcountry recognizes the significant contributions of philanthropy to enrich our local and global communities. The week's events will include panel discussions, educational workshops, grant award ceremonies, and networking opportunities. This year NPD is slated for Nov. 18, 2010. Please check back for more details as they become available.

Philanthropy Week is brought to the Lowcountry by the following organizations:

Center for Women

Coastal Community Foundation

Lowcountry Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP),

Women Making a Difference

Junior League of Charleston

Each of these organizations will sponsor an event during Philanthropy Week focusing on a particular aspect of community giving and need.
