National Philanthropy Day

Did you know that in this country there are more than one million charitable organizations and that people
across the U.S. gave approximately 295 billion dollars (Giving USA)? For those very reasons we, along with 50,000
other people worldwide, will celebrate the 23rd Annual National Philanthropy Day.
This
year, as a part of our local celebration, The South Carolina Lowcountry Chapter of AFP will be proud to award Charles E. and
Andrea L. Volpe as the area's top individual philanthropists, and Baker Motor Company as the year's Outstanding Business.
Also as a part of National Philanthropy Day we have an phenomenal keynote speaker slated this year, Dr. Thomas Frist.
